Smart Categories – Automatically populate categories

Maintaining categories manually takes time and, as your product range grows, it becomes almost impossible to keep them up to date. Whilst dynamic product groups do the selecting for you, they only generate virtual lists. For manual sorting, product exports, feeds, SEO URLs and breadcrumbs, you need genuine category assignments.

This extension combines both. You define rules that link a dynamic product group to a target category. When run, the extension records the relevant products as genuine category assignments, just like a manual assignment. New or amended products are automatically placed where they belong.
